REQUIREMENTS : A minimum of eight (8) years appropriate experience in social work after registration
as a Social Worker with the South African Council of Social Service Professions
(SACSSP). Knowledge of legislation involving the implementation of Children’s Act.

DUTIES : Key Responsibilities: Maintaining the Child Protection Register. Interpreting and
communicating legislative requirements of the Children’s Act to stakeholders relating
to the implementation of the Child Protection Register (CPR). Developing of
proposals to amend/ maintain the relevant acts, policies and procedures. Develop
new policies, procedures where required. Participate in intersectoral programmes to
promote CPR activities. Liaise/attend meetings with other departments, Non-
Government Institutions and relevant stakeholders to take cognizance of the latest
developments in the relevant fields. Assist in the programme development of the
Child Protection Register (CPR).

competency assessment (in compliance with the DPSA Directive on the
implementation of competency based assessments). The competency assessment
will be testing generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS
competency assessment tools”. The successful candidate will sign an annual
performance agreement, complete a financial discloser form and will also be required
