ENERGY OFFICER: PLANNING: BULK INFRASTRUCTURE
SALARY : R270 805 per annum, Level 9
CENTRE : Head Office
REQUIREMENTS : A National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current or equivalent, with
relevant experience in electricity distribution industry. Knowledge of
Electrification Planning and Integrated National Electrification Programme
(INEP). A valid Driver’s license is essential. PLUS the following key
competencies: Knowledge of: Electrification Industry. INEP Policies and
strategies Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Division of Revenue Act
(DoRA) Skills: Technical Skills. Report Writing Skills. Development Skills.
Communication Skills. Negotiations Skills. Interpretation Skills Communication:
Verbal and written communication. Proficiency in at least two official language.
Creativity: Open-minded. Innovative. Good Listener. Ability to work as a team.
Ability to work under pressure

 

DUTIES : Collect and consolidate identified backlog of electrification. Assist with
prioritization of indemnified needs (cost benefit analysis). Facilitate the
appropriate integration of grid and non-grid electrification. Assist the Manager to
Implement National electrification plans with SRDP, URP’s and IDP’s. Develop
and maintain Grid and Non-Grid electrification plans to address the identified
need. Initiate and assist in management of the Grid and Non-grid. Electrification
projects. Monitor and Evaluate the execution of Projects. Assist the manager in
management of concession areas and monitor sustainability of concessionaires.
