REGIONAL OPERATIONAL MANAGERS X2
SALARY : R 988 152 per annum, Level: 14
CENTRE : Head Office

 

REQUIREMENTS : Tertiary qualification in Mining/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least three (3)
year senior management experience PLUS Mine Manager’s Certificate of
Competence(MMC)/ Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Government Certificate of
Competence(GCC). PLUS the following key competencies: Knowledge of: Mine
Health and Safety Act and Regulations Health risk assessment techniques Mining
environment, both big and small, surface and underground, research and research
methodology techniques Relevant Public Regulations Regional and mining sector
challenges Guidelines issued by the Chief Inspector of Mine Management and
leadership Knowledge and application Advanced Project Management Skills:
Management of people and Finance Report writing Inspecting and auditing Project and
Programme Management Interpersonal and communication Advanced Project
Management Communication Must be able to communicate at operational and
Strategic levels Creativity Must be innovative in thinking and approach.

DUTIES : KRA’s: Manage regions. Serve as nodal point for regions. Promote Mine health and
safety. Oversee regional operations. Lead high level interventions (inspections,
investigations, inquiries etc). Manage mine health and safety risks (track and identify
trends) ensure pro-active interventions
