DEPUTY DIRECTOR: OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR-GENERAL 5 POSTS
Branches: Human Resources/ Corporate Services/ Diplomatic Training,
Research & Development/ Africa Bilateral/ Americas & the Caribbean
SALARY : R532 278 per annum. This all-inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic
salary, the State’s contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund and
a flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules.
REQUIREMENTS : An NQF Level 6 or equivalent qualification in Administration / Social Science /
Finance or related fields; At least six (6) to ten (10) years relevant administrative
and or secretarial experience. Knowledge of relevant applicable public service
wide regulations; Knowledge and understanding of South Africa’s Foreign Policy;
Basic knowledge of budget and procurement processes; Ability to resolve simple
technical problems/issues in his/her field; Remains abreast with the procedures
and processes that apply in the office of the DDG; Knowledge, capabilities and
practices associated with the support of administrative and management
activities; Knowledge and ability to use computers and technology efficiently.
DUTIES : Prepare and process submissions and other documentation in the office of the
DDG; Provide effective and efficient management and administrative support
service of the office of the DDG; Manage and administer budget processes in the
office of the DDG; Manage staff under supervision.
