Datacentrix Resourcing specializes in providing technical resourcing solutions across a wide range of technologies and ICT service disciplines. We currently have a vacancy based in Cape Town, client looking for Desktop Engineers for a 6 month contract

 

Description of responsibilities:

• Load, Setup and Customize software/hardware and install PC’s, Printers and peripherals
• Hardware & Software fault diagnoses and problem solving on PC’s Printers and peripherals
• Fault diagnosis and problem solving on LAN (Ethernet)
• Provide administrative support on NT4 & Windows 2003 servers
• Roll -out of Hardware and/or Software
• Participate in Customer IT projects
• Perform all functions/tasks according to processes and procedures
• Adhere to internal Administration & Operational processes (Timesheets / Standby)
• Participate as part of a team.
• Client focused

 

 Qualifications:

• Matric – Compulsory
• A+
• N+
• MCSE 2003
• Drivers license and own transport compulsory

 

Experience required:

• Minimum 1 year desktop hardware, software (Microsoft Products) and Windows operating systems experience
• Peripheral installations and fault diagnosis
• NT4 & Windows 2000, 2003 server
• Knowledge of LAN cabling and topology (Ethernet)
• Solid work experience as a Desktop & LAN field technician
• Exposure to Citrix advantageous
