DLA Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr: Law Scholarships

On 1 September 2008, Cliffe Dekker and Hofmeyr Herbstein & Gihwala merged to form one of South Africa’s largest business law firms known as Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. Since its inception more than 150 years ago, the firm has grown and evolved in step with South Africa’s development and burgeoning economy. A rich history supports the former firms that make up Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr today.

Criteria

To be considered for a bursary an applicant must meet the following criteria:

• Be a citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa;
• Be enrolled as a full-time student at a South African university for the LLB degree and
• Complete the prescribed application form and submit all supporting documentation before the deadline.

Each application for a bursary is considered on its own merit taking into account the financial merit of the application as well as the following factors:

• academic performance and
• proven excellence in any other field.
