Primary Responsibilities
Follows Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
Operates and field checks process equipment. Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems (on DCS).
Performs tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List.
E.g. Field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.
Ensures operational activities and process performance are aligned with Plant and business goals.
Uses trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
As required, initiates and participates in Root Cause Investigations.
Coaches and train others on plant operations.
Performs immediate response activities assigned by Immediate Response Leader.
Uses process knowledge and skills to make improvements in plant performance and Operating Discipline.
Monitors, collects and inputs plant metrics for Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.), asset utilization, conversion costs, production yields and identify opportunities for plant optimization.
Utilizes S.P.C. tools to optimize plant operation and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the S.P.C. tools.
Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
Operate the plant to achieve the daily and monthly production plan
Use all necessary documents in document management system (procedures, critical checklist, L&EO, batch cards, etc.)
Record status of actions in the MTL
Receive additional instructions from Shift Activity Coordinator (SAC) in line with plant operations
Load maintenance job requests in SAP
Update shift status in Logbook on a continuous basis during the shift
Ensure a good housekeeping daily on shift
Perform preparations for maintenance work in advance
Adhere and follow shift handover protocol
Drive Forklift to transport materials
Participate in all EH&S programs
Ensure that batch cards are properly followed and filled in accordingly.
Takes over the activities completed by the maintenance and ensures safe return to operations.
