Legal Advisor (Telecommunications) (based in Stellenbosch): The in-house Legal Advisor provides guidance and strategic telecommunications related legal advice to management, assisting with negotiation of legal agreements, and the drafting of relevant legal agreements and documentation.

Job Title: Legal Advisor (Telecommunications)

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Draft, vet and negotiate commercial agreements (bespoke commercial agreement drafting)
Assist with telco-related agreements such as tower-leases (sub-letting or landlord leases)
Dispute resolution on commercial or consumer agreements
Assist the group with large debtor negotiation and agreements
Advise senior management on a broad range of commercial matters, to maintain corporate records and the preparation of legal letters, memorandums and reports

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Grade 12 or equivalent
LLB Degree or similar
Admitted attorney + 3 – 5 years post admission experience working preferably as an in-house legal advisor
Proficient in English and Afrikaans – spoken and written
Experience with drafting of agreements and negotiating terms
Ability to advise senior management on a broad range of commercial matters, to maintain corporate records and the preparation of legal letters, memorandums and reports
Ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders from different disciplines and with team that is located remotely
Commercial, proactive and business-like mind-set
Provide objective and constructive feedback and openly shares knowledge and expertise
Good time management skills and the ability to operate well in high-pressure environments.
