East London IDZ: Graduate / Internship Programme 2018

The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is the operator of the East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ), an entity which exists to help manufacturers to become globally competitive through the development and efficient management of a modern, purpose built industrial location, which offers investing industries a streamlined business environment enhanced by a range of supporting services. The zone is already operational and currently houses a number of manufacturers that supply products for the local and international markets.

The ELIDZ is looking for interns to be exposed in the following fields for a period of up to 24 months subject to the conditions of its internship programme:

Corporate Communications [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or
• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing

Property Management [x1]

• B Comm or
• BSC Property Studies or
• National Diploma Real Estate or Equivalent

Records Management [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences / Records Management / Archival Studies

Environmental Management (or combination of OHS and Environmental)  [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Safety / Environmental Management / Environmental Health / Environmental Sciences

Quality Management  [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Safety / Environmental Management / Environmental Health / Environmental Sciences

Legal [x1]

Science & Technology Park Laboratory  [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Analytical Chemistry or an equivalent qualification

Science & Technology Park Design Centre  [x1]

• S4 of Mechanical Engineering or N6 Electrical or equivalent qualificatio

Science & Technology Park Research  [x1]

• National Diploma / Bachelor of Science Degree / Postgraduate qualification

Office of the CEO  [x1]

• Information Management / Information Systems / Project Management qualification

Other Requirements:

• You must have obtained the necessary qualification.
• You must not be studying full time.
• You must be unemployed and not have any formal experience.
• First preference will be given to top performers academically.
