Ecowize is an international Hygiene and Sanitation company renowned for continuous improvement and technological innovation.

As part of our 2021 strategy to expand into new markets and offer comprehensive solutions to industry-specific customers, we require an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the Ecowize Group.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the development of procurement processes, management of the warehouse, and implementing logistics operations systems. In addition, the successful incumbent will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors, distributors and internal stakeholders.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Supply Chain Manager – JHB

Job Summary:
To develop procurement, warehouse and logistics operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements as well as optimising logistics costs. Developing, implementing, enforcing and evaluating policies and procedures for receiving products, inventory management and dispatch. Ensure the warehouse and logistics functions operate at peak efficiency with customer satisfaction as primary goal.

What success will look like by month 6:
•Effectively manage inventory by reducing systems discrepancies (system inventory to align 95% to physical inventory).
•Negotiate new supplier payment terms (min 30 day payment terms, look at adding an additional 15 days to terms).
•Improve BEE spend by reducing non compliance by 25%.
•Improve atomization of inventory system (Granite) and improve ordering processes.
• Propose a strategy to improve warehouse floorplan and incorporate ways of responsible disposal and recycling.
• Become a well respected leader, who commits and meets times and agreed objectives.

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize productivity.
•Develop a solid and trusting relationship between major clients, suppliers, and the company.
•Enable the procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to solve day to day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals.
•Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
•Ensure productivity, quality and customer service standards are met by reviewing and preparing workflow, space requirements, equipment layout, manning and action plans.
•Align procurement, warehouse, and logistics operations with business objectives
•Ensure targets are being met
•Anticipating logistical changes and evaluate the required improvements.
•Managing communications between suppliers and internal teams.
•Monitor the daily selection of stock items for cycle counts.
•Strategic planning to improve the supply chain.
•Coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
•Collaborate with the finance department to determine best practices for freight consolidation.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:
•Relevant diploma or equivalent.
•At least 10 years’ previous work experience in Supply Chain.
•Experience in the cleaning industry will be an advantage.
•Experience in the implementation of procurement systems.
•Experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel and Powerpoint skills.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
