Eden District Municipality is fully committed to Employment Equity. Applications are invited for the following temporary vacancies in the Department: Management Services.

(GEORGE X 8, STILBAAI X 4, RIVERSDALE X 4)

Contract period: September 2013 – June 2014

Salary: R 6 151.44 per month (T5)

Minimum qualification requirements:

Matric • At least two years appropriate experience • Fire Fighting I • First Aid level III • Valid code C1 drivers’ licence • Hazmat awareness • Computer ability • Ability to work under stressful situations • Reasonable level of fitness.

Duties will include:

• Operational Firefighting • Fire prevention • Rescue • Maintenance and tidiness of fleet

NOTE:

Candidates must be willing to undergo a fitness test evaluation. The appropriate candidates must be able to work in areas with low oxygen supply, high areas and confined spaces. Preference will be given to candidates from the local area.

Note: Candidates must be willing to be subjected to practical/proficiency testing. Preference will be given to candidates from the Eden district.
