We are searching for a vigorous commodity manager to join a dynamic team. You will be responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy for your respective commodities and ensuring delivery of the best procurement value and mitigation of supply risks.

You must have strong leadership skills and effective reporting and communication skills. You will deliver cost-saving projects focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization, ensuring a healthy relationship with suppliers and the business.

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
MUST HAVES:
Knowledge of procurement best practices including sourcing strategies to support cost reduction programmes and different mechanisms for procurement
Knowledge of developing the BEE Scorecard and understanding of various sectoral charters especially the preferential procurement component
In-depth technical reports, proposals or project briefs affecting one or more business units
Drafting of factual reports, presentations, procedure or policy documents or training material
Drawing up project briefs
Negotiation with customers or suppliers over price, contracts or services
Written proposals or presentations aimed at changing practices within or across business units or selling a product or service to external clients

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s or equivalent 3-year degree
5+ years’ experience in procurement
