The Head of Department – FET is responsible for full programme management for the selection of FET programmes in the Department. Accountable for programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists in alignment with ETQA’s and Professional Body’s policies and procedures. THE HoD – FET is expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of programmes and assessments offered by the respective sites and assure that all programmes, programme factsheets and program curriculum structures and assessments area aligned in accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for ensuring that verification takes place with various ETQA’s and professional bodies in conjunction with the sites of delivery. Must ensure that all learners are uploaded on ETQA’s LMS and that certificate of learners are successful.

Post Graduate qualification in cognate field
4-5 years’ experience in further education
Experience in programme and ETQA management
Familiar with formal assessment & moderations practices, design and development and programme structuring
MS Office

Duties & Responsibilities:
Programme Management, Development, and review
Module materials updated annually
Ensure alignment of assessments to the learning outcomes of all programmes and short courses
Development of all programme documents
Results analysis
Market research
Developing experiential learning material related to each programme or amend each programme to include credit bearing WIL module
Improve teaching and learning guidelines
Promote technology enhanced learning
