Key Performance Outputs:

Managing the electricity billing system and ensure revenue collection.
Assisting the HOD and Engineer with the energy management and improvement in energy efficiency.
Monitor electrical infrastructure performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Monitor and manage quality of supply.
Managing the SCADA system on the electrical network.
Contract and maintenance management of specialised airfield electrical systems, such as the AWOS, ILS, PAPI, etc.
Managing and updating electrical drawings on CAD.
Ensuring documentation and drawings are up to standard and are received and stored appropriately.
Motivating, implementing, coordinating and managing minor electrical projects where required.
Assisting the HOD with specialised requests and investigations.
Assisting the HOD with process improvement investigations and initiatives.

Technical Skills and Experience:

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) compulsory and/or equivalent prior learning and experience based on the job requirements within the position.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an electrical engineering operating and maintenance environment.
Knowledge of information management systems, tools and techniques for managing and monitoring infrastructure.
Code 08 drivers licence.
Must be computer literate.

Competencies:

Envisaged for appointment is good analytical and technical skills are a pre requisite. Highly motivated and driven individual. Self Starter with an ability to work independently within a high pressure environment
