Introduction  Safripol, a leading plastics manufacturer based in Sasolburg, are looking for an Electrical Technologist with a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 8 years electrical experience.

Minimum Requirements

National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
8 Years electrical experience
Experience in AC motor control and faultfinding
Electrical switch gear programming packages experience
PLC experience
Medium Voltage switching experience
Must have good interpersonal effectiveness, productivity focus, technical capability and initiative
Fully computer literate
To work within set boundaries of the maintenance work processes

Job Specification

Understands the applicable process technology, equipment and control technology.
Follow EH&S and Operating Discipline procedures/practices/standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques.
Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on repairs and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
Initiate, develop and review procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date.
Participates in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
To ensure compliance of all related regulatory requirements.
During development of turnaround/shutdown work, provides input on development of work orders particularly on critical equipment requiring engineering review or input.
Provide technical expertise during Root Cause Investigations.
