Drafting
- Produce precise drawings of CAD parts for production:- *.dft, *.dxf, *.jt;
- Produce drawings of CAD assemblies for fabrication:- *.dft, *.dxf, *.pdf;
- Pre-inspect & check drawings, part and assembly;
- Produce drawings from sketch or sample part;
- Experience/ Knowledge of hydraulic components & designs
- Issuing of drawings and QCP’s;
- Maintaining data packs of drawings;
- Updating of bill of material to reflect latest design changes;
- Final inspection of components before delivery with dimension report;
- Sign off part drawing for issue and sign off assembly drawing for issue;
- Follow up on current jobs in the workshop;
- Maintain realistic workloads and deliverable dates for tasks;
- Liaise with customers;
- Monitor project until completed;
- Prepare all documentation;
Design Work
- 3D Model creation & modification;
- Detail design, skeleton creation;
- Welding/ chamfering of assemblies;
- Participate in design reviews where required, assume responsibility for the full project;
- Site visits for measurement, of existing and or revised products;
General
- Assist with manufacturing issues in workshop;
- Adhere to standard procedures and processes;
- Assisting with ordering of material for specific project;
- Liaise with customers and suppliers;
- Deal with customer queries;
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good at team work.
Required Skills
- Ability To Read Technical Drawings: 1 to 2 years
- Experience In Manufacturing And Production Processes: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
- Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
- NQF 4 learning/ mathematics and technical drawing
- Knowledge of steel types/ materials and application
- Be able to read and interpret drawings
- Must be able to distinguish between forgings, castings, plate etc.
- Experience in 3D Modelling, Solid Works and auto CAD
- Min 2–3 years working experience
- Must have Solid Works experience and machining tolerances knowledge
