Qualifications:

B Degree – Relevant (Essential/Minimum)
MBA/MBL – Business Management (Essential / Minimum)

Experience & Requirements:

10-12 years (in total) Relevant experience (understanding of business, commodity, energy & mining industry & competitors) ( Essential/ minimum) (Operaional)
5 years Experience within Business Development / Project Development environments (Essential/Minimum) (Operational)

Assess, audit & ensure compliance with all statutory requirements by conducting market analysis, networking & international & local benchmarking

BUSINESS GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
Identify, target & create business opportunities aligned with growth portfolio
Execute business strategy within portfolio which is aligned with overall Exxaro strategy
Develop & evaluate value propositions for each opportunity in portfolio
Develop international & local markets through identifying sustainable, affordable growth opportunities, & business positioning

CUSTOMER & CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Manage & maintain customer relationships effectively
Encourage collaboration internally & across company borders
Liaise with stakeholders to determine level of current & forthcoming project activities
Support core business with appropriate projects which will add value to corporate profile
Apply “Value in Use” principles
Implement customer & supplier performance management

EFFECTIVE PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Promote teamwork, provide support & manage performance by creating & maintaining individual development plans of subordinates
Oversee all recruitment & HR related activities & financial competency development of reporting staff

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Apply sound commercial & financial models to ensure value creation & efficient financial business functioning
Develop & implement a Capital- & Market plan

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Responsible for developing & implementing Waterberg strategy
Coordinate & develop Waterberg projects through Logistical life cycle (eg from potential to commissioning phase)
Plan infrastructure, exploration & attend to project integration issues
Manage feasibility studies
Liaise & routing projects to SCF, IRC & Board
Assist with sourcing of project teams

Key Performance Areas:

Appointments are dependent on the completion of a successful medical examination and receipt of a valid medical certificate. Exxaro facilicates such medical examinations where required.
