Exxaro South Africa Bridging Programme 2012

Exxaro offers an unique training opportunity to historically disadvantaged candidates who are interested in studying towards a tertiary qualification in engineering or geology and have recently passed, or are busy with, matric/Grade 12 examinations.

The Exxaro Bridging programme runs over one year and starts in January each year. On successful completion of the programme, candidates may be considered for an Exxaro bursary to study a degree course in geology, mining, metallurgy, mechanical, electrical (heavy-current), industrial or civil engineering, or a diploma course in mining or mine surveying, starting in the following year.

The Bridging programme is hosted in Pretoria, with accommodation, meals, and study fees covered by Exxaro. Students also receive a monthly pocket allowance.

Applications for the Bridging programme should be made before 31 August 2012 to be considered for the following year’s intake.
