Job Title: Lecturer (PL1): Engineering Studies

Salary: R 211,731.00 – 589,396.00 Annually

Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide subject support to Distance Learners, telephonically and via e-mail.
•Provide support and guidance to subject Tutors.
•Co-ordinate all aspects of the Engineering courses, e.g. ICASS assessments and assessment procedures, course timetabling and verification of student grades.
•Tutor 1 subject within the specific field of speciality
•Assist with setting on-line assessments and quality assuring online content.

REQUIREMENTS:
•Relevant Teaching qualification and be a subject matter expert in Engineering Studies field
•TVET experience
•Computer literate
•Good organisational and communication skills.
•Be able to work under pressure and have a flexible teaching style
•Proficient in English

RECOMMENDATIONS:
•Knowledge of e-learning and or practical experience with a learning management system
•Flexible working hours to accommodate after hours assessments.
•Experience of distance learning practices and able to conduct classes online.
•Drivers licence
