Job Description & Responsibilities

• As a Junior Electrical Technician you will troubleshoot, test, and assemble electrical assemblies
• Assist in configuring, preparing, maintaining, utilizing, and or designing test stations and test equipment
• Perform tests with instructions and documentation
• Assemble electronic components, wiring and mechanical assemblies
• Prepare basic documentation and prototype assembly

Minimum Requirements

• Nationality: South African
• Area of Residence: Western Cape, ideally southern cape peninsula
• Qualification: National Diploma (S4) or BTech in Electrical Engineering
• Experience:
  • None required for in-service training position
  • 1+ years for full-time contract

Key Performance Areas

• Good written and verbal skills (English mandatory)
• Working knowledge of electronic components (optional for “in-service training” position)
• General knowledge of digital and analogue circuit theory
• Skilled in the soldering and assembling of electronic components
• Ability to perform component level troubleshooting
• Proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other basic instruments
• Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, electronic schematics and parts lists
