Financial Executive Position – B.Com Accountancy, CA/SA or CIMA (Infrastructure/Building Material Manufacturing)
The employer is a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products for infrastructure including pipes, culverts, manholes, poles and many other related products, and is geographically spread across South Africa, Botswana, Namibia with11 business units and 2 depots. The client is a reputable market leader and requires a Financial Executive with good communication skills and who has the ability to meet deadlines. The incumbent must be able to build relations with auditors and key clients financial executives.
The successful candidate must have:
• Matric
• B.Com Accountancy, CA/SA or CIMA
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS requirements and standards
• 5 yrs experience working in the Construction / Manufacturing Industry
• Conversant with an ERP system
• Experience in managing a finance and administration office would be an advantage
• Must be prepared to travel

Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
• Enforcing policies and procedures
• Demonstrate visible felt leadership and be an integral member of Exco team to meet growth objectives, contributing to business plan objectives
• Prepare annual budgets and business plans
• Participate in developing company strategies and business development
• Prepare / oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for company and subsidiaries
• Prepare/oversee the quarterly reporting packs for Company and subsidiaries
• Implement and maintain adequate internal controls and ensure financial support of projects
• Provide commercial / financial advice for out of country operations and liaise with out of country administrative and consulting service providers
• Liaising and maintain open relationships between the holding company’s, auditors, sites and suppliers
• Reviewing and analysing monthly reports
• Resolve creditor’s disputes between sites and suppliers
• Custodian of company cash management
• Custodian of company insurance portfolio
• Custodian of company risk matrix and compliance officer responsibilities
• Support and mentoring of subordinates (training, development, etc.)
• Improve overall profitability of the group by assisting in the implementation procedures for the consolidated cash flows, working capital, capex decisions, risk management, funding, ratio analysis and forex transactions
• Review credit applications
• Compile and / or review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing and analysing monthly overhead cost centres
• Review and approve monthly creditor reconciliations
• Ad hoc projects
• Evaluation of IT needs specifically related to head office and the accounting services bureau with inputs on a consolidated / divisional basis.

• Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft office 2007, specifically Excel and Word
