The Financial Services Board (FSB) supervises insurers, pension funds, friendly societies, exchanges, central securities depositories, collective investment schemes, financial advisory and intermediary services. Micro-Insurance Supervision Department
Ref No: FSB 042

Purpose of the Job: To conduct investigations relating to unregistered insurance business, and to advance sound and appropriate supervision of micro-insurers.

Requirements:
A B. Degree in Commerce/Law with at least 2 to 3 years relevant experience of the financial services industry.
A good knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry is required.

Key Performance Areas:
Investigate all complaints relating to unregistered micro-insurance business
Analyse and write reports on findings from investigations or inspections and recommend corrective actions where feasible
Ensure that all complaints regarding unregistered micro-insurance business are dealt with in the shortest reasonable time
Ensure that the consumer complaints database is maintained and kept up to date at all times
Handle complaints and telephonic enquiries from individual consumers and ensure that they are responded to in the shortest possible space of time
Arrange, prepare and conduct on-site visits
Ensure that all document storage and retrieval protocols are diligently followed .
Ensure that the electronic database is updated timeously and accurately; and
Liaise with offices of the various Ombudsmen, with regard to consumer complaints.

The candidate must demonstrate the following skiffs and attributes:
Good verbal and written communication skills; problem analysing skills; information gathering; good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; good customer relations skills; persuasiveness skills and must be computer literate.
