FOOD SERVICE AID LEVEL 2 10 POSTS REF NO: HRM10/18

SALARY : R73 044 per annum

CENTRE : Steve Biko Academic Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 10 with 5 to 10 years experience in a food service experience. Good communication skills and willing to work in a team. Be able to work shifts (late and early), must work weekends and Public Holidays. Able to do work of a physical nature. A valid driver’s license will be added advantage. Have willingness to work as a reliever in the unit. Mass catering experience will be an advantage.

DUTIES : Perform routine tasks in the food service unit and operate machinery. Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned to you and maintain hygiene and safety measures in the unit. Washing crockery and cutlery of patients and for functions. Dishing up of patients food according to portion control measures. Loading of food into patient transport trolleys. Can be utilization as a tractor driver transport food Oncology block. Preparing and packing of patients’ meals, beverages, snacks, fluids and bread. Unpacking and packing provisions into fridges and freezers.
