Job Title: Junior Site Manager (Engineering)
Location: Mpumalanga area, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Job Summary:
This position exists to ensure the achievement of business objectives through contract execution and growth.

 

Contract Management:

Interprets, implement and manage the contract.

Liaise with client representative regarding overall plant performance and quality standards.

Manage the contract regarding volumes, quality and other specifications relevant to the final product.

Advise senior manager of any scope changes.

Agree on month end quantities and ensure invoices are submitted.

 

Customer Relations Management:

Regular contact with clients and ensure a 100% customer satisfaction rate as well as positive feedback.

Assist BUM in dealing with unresolved issues.

Ensure SLA’s are adhered to and regular meetings take place .

SHEQ Management:

Promote safety performance.

Implement the FAMP health and safety policy in accordance with legislative requirements, client requirements and Company prescriptions.

Facilitates the enforcement of health and safety procedures in terms of training, communication structures and the provision of protective clothing and equipment.

Manages and implements occupational health management programmes.

Growth:

Establish and maintain business networks.

Explore opportunities for new business.

Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals.

Managing the Team:

Select and appoint competent and passionate people.

Assign work.

Monitor performance.

Train and develop team members.

Maintain discipline in the plant.

Plant Maintenance:

Ensures that own/client’s assets are maintained in a safe working condition.

Ensures that maintenance is managed cost-effectively.

Ensures maintenance system is implemented and maintained.

Manages critical spares and stock account.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

N3 Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering subjects.

Trade Test MQA/MERSETA preferred.

Millwright Trade Test added advantage.

Accredited Supervisory and Management qualification added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years at Junior Management level in mining industry.

2-3 years experience as an Artisan, Engineering Foreman and GES.
