Job Title: MILLWRIGHT
Location: Mpumalanga area, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Job Summary:
To assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives thus maintenance of the plant, and they will also assist with attending to breakdowns quickly on shift.

Safety:
Maintain Fraser Alexander and Client safety policy and procedure requirements

Promote safety performance

Conduct risk assessments

Do planned task observations

Conduct safety meetings

Report & Investigate all incidents/accidents

Mine Health and Safety Act compliance

Operations:

Maintain good housekeeping standards

Do proper shift handover

Operate the plant

Rectify process deficiencies

Ensures production targets are met

Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production

Advise on requirements of process spares

Implement client “Crushing Plan” to achieve throughput & qualities

Monitor sampling procedures

Managing the Team:

Assign work, train and develop team members

Monitor performance

Maintain discipline in the team

Maintenance:
Be part of maintenance planning meeting

Create job card (R Card)

Engineering work execution on relevant Maintenance day

Inspect equipment in working area by following

On key-system

Do general and processing maintenance/repairs e.g. change panels and sieve bends/tighten panels/cutting of skirting / unblocking of panels and flood boxes

Execute planned maintenance tasks

Administration:

Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance

Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:

N3 – Mechanical & Electrical engineering subjects

Trade test-Millwright – MQA/MERSETA preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Preferably previous exposure to the environment in Mining/Mineral processing, Factories

5 years’ millwright experience

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES:
Good communication skills

Computer Literate(Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)

Good planning and organising skills

Ability to work under pressure

Environment protection policy and procedures
