Job Summary:
This position manages the implementation and delivery of a section of a site against time, quality and cost standards.
These are the BASIC requirements, and the responsibilities will be expanded on to meet the contractual requirements.
To familiarize himself with the broad parameters of the contract and its objectives.
To attend the site agents contract overview meeting, prior start up, with plant representative, clerk, surveyor, soils technician and mechanic.
To attend weekly planning meetings and agree objectives.
To attend weekly site performance reviews.
To attend daily site progress reviews, be fully accountable for his performance, and to agree objectives.
To report accurately and timeously on a daily basis on all his work activities with respect to Labour, plant and materials.
To plan on a weekly and daily basis as to how to maximize all resources at his disposal to reach agreed targets.
To communicate clearly to the site agent on all objectives.
To ensure that the work activities are recorded on a daily basis.
To daily update their progress graphs.
To produce work of a quality that is acceptable to the client.
To train and give advice whenever necessary.
To ensure that the company‘s safety standards and procedures are being strictly adhered to.
To ensure that in his area of work the groups image and corporate identity are fully met.
To resolve, if possible, any IR disputes from workers being supervised in his area of activity.
To check and approve with sign off on a daily basis the time cards/tickets for all workers in his section.
To be responsible to the site agent for all company assets at his disposal.
To undertake any other work related task as designated by the site agent.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION:
Matric
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years relevant experience in respect of supervising construction teams
