Job Title: Multi-skill operator
Location: Rustenburg, North West, South Africa

Job Summary:
Assist operations where an operator is needed to make the operating environment safer and more convenient by cleaning and hauling spillage, maintenance of access ramps and roads, capping of step in ramps and benches, and general construction work around site.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

Operation of a variety of machines (TLB ad FEL)

Load, dig, clean trenches or ditch slimes dam.

Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) is followed at all times.

General Housekeeping.

Inspection of the machine before & after the shift.

Complete inspection checklist.

Adhere to safety rules & procedures.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12

Competency certificates (TLB and FEL)

Code 10 driver’s license

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 4 years operating experience in a tailings or similar environment

SKILLS, QUALITIES and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Understand what constitutes unsafe conditions and behavior.

Knowledge of unsafe behavior, and what it means.

Must be able to communicate in the medium of communication ( English).

Be able to take instructions to execute tasks.

Be able to work under pressure.

Sense of urgency, energetic, positive attitude and a team player.

Ability to build relationships with staff and company clients.

Must be willing to work extended hours.

Applicant must have self-discipline, and good leadership abilities.

No Criminal Record.

Must be medically fit to be able to pass all screenings.
