Vacancy Details

Multi-National Organisation requires a WordPress Developer (Full-Stack) to join their global team, remote work.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified in Web Development or Design.
• 5+ years of web design/development experience
• Experience in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience implementing, configuring and operating WordPress CMS
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Ability to convert comprehensive layouts or wireframes into working HTML pages
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience in developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {such as Git, SVN, etc
• Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Excellent visual design skills.
• Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Creative and open to new ideas.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
• Excellent communication skills.

Key tasks:

• Develop website design strategy for new website builds with a focus on user experience
• Design and develop new interfaces for users
• Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations.
• User journey development and mapping, aligning to lead generation goals.
• Formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices for websites, apps, and other media
• Front and back end website development
• Creating or modifying the WordPress themes and plugins
• Ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Analyse website live performance
• Maintaining website security and compliance
