Gariep Municipality Financial Management Internship Programme 2014

Gariep Local Municipality is offering a Financial Management Internship Programme (Two-year contract) for 2014. Applications are open until the 31st October 2013.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Candidate should hold a three year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with majors in Accounting, Economics and Financial Management including either Risk Management or Auditing among others.

 

Key Performance Areas

The municipality is looking for interns who will be placed within Budget and Treasury Office. The internship programme will last for two (2) years. The interns will be placed in units: deemed appropriate by the Mentor/Supervisor; to gain more experience on the Municipal Finance. The programme will be monitored and the interns will be required to meet standards as set by mentors. Successful applicants will sign an internship agreement.

Preference will be given to a previously disadvantaged candidate residing Within the Gariep area of jurisdiction. The incumbent should be between the age of 21 to 25 years old as outlined in the MFMIP guidelines.

Remuneration/Stipend: R80 000 (All inclusive)
