General Engineering Supervisor Vacancy

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of General Engineering Supervisor at Impala 20, in Rustenburg. The successful candidate will report to the Site Manager.

Minimum Requirements…

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·         Matric certificate

·         Qualified Artisan (Mechanical)

·         Good communication skills in English and at least one of the other official languages

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Extensive experience as a GES in a mining environment
• Knowledge of Trackless mining
• Previous hydraulics, drill rig and general experience
• Previous managerial or supervisory experience
• Shaft sinking experience
• Previous offshore experience will be an added advantage

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• The safety and health for all employees under his/her area of responsibility
• Ensuring that underground working conditions are maintained to a high and acceptable standard
• Building a strong motivated team
• Supporting the overall business management of the site
• Achieving, and where possible, exceeding monthly production targets
