Established in 1958, Girls and Boys Town (GBT) is a national nonprofit organisation that runs proven and successful programmes to strengthen vulnerable youth. Through a combination of interventions, GBT on average, assists between 16 000 to 20 000 beneficiaries a year. GBT core focus is to remove the obstacles and barriers that prevent children from finding their light and helping them to Shine.

Job Title: Fundraising Consultant
Job Location: KwaZulu-Natal
Salary: Competitive basic salary plus incentives and medical Aid, pension, life and disability cover benefits
Reports to: Regional Fundraising Manager

This is a permanent position

Responsibilities:

• Attract new sponsorships and donations
• Solicit and keep face to face appointments with donors
• Attend networking functions
• Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month
• Service a donor portfolio
• Meet donor requirements

Requirements:

• Previous selling experience would be advantageous but is not a necessity
• Minimum of five years’ general work experience (preferably in fundraising)
• Self-motivated and mature
• Abilities to work independently and within a team environment
• Valid driver’s licence
• Like to work with people face to face and telephonically
• Computer literacy
