Google was founded to organize the world’s information, and our Partnerships team was there from the start, connecting us with the world’s largest generators of online content. Google helps our partners find better ways to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. In return, our partners provide great content for our products, and they syndicate our Google products to enhance their sites. Our Partnerships team members expand and nurture these relationships by continually finding new opportunities and solving technical problems for our partners.
Google’s line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google’s partners. Armed with your business acumen and product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google’s newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
The Android Platform Partnerships team at Google help partners realize the mutual benefit from making, distributing and connecting Android-based products for users throughout the world.
Central to this is the Android platform itself, provided open source at “Google scale” for free to anyone. Google Play is the official Android applications and content store hosted by Google, syncing applications and content magically across your devices and on the Web. And Google Mobile Services bring the magic of Google to users in the right time, place and context.
The Android Platform Partnerships team needs another strategic business developer within the team to drive Android and its ecosystem across Africa.
As a business developer you are connected to the broadest mix of African players in the mobile industry and you analyze, engage and influence them: silicon vendors, device manufacturers, distributors, network operators, retailers, developers – and ultimately users. You build the networks and intelligence to keep Android’s meteoric growth going throughout the continent. You work closely with the rest of the Android Platform Partnerships team, local Google teams in Africa, Android and Google Play Engineering, Product, Developer, Marketing and Legal teams on new initiatives and key strategic relationships. You educate Google teams by seeing multiple steps ahead across your region, identifying industry trends and key influencers and translating meaning back into Google’s engineering and product focus so we can help you execute.
