REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate qualification at NQF 6 in Agriculture is the minimum requirement

●Computer literacy

● Knowledge of extension methodology

●Communication/presentation skills. Candidates will be subjected to a competency assessment.

 

DUTIES :

Render scientific and technical advice to internal and external clients under mentorship to ensure sustainable development which would, inter alia the following:

● Implementation of efficient methods and utilization of resources like soil, water, veld money, etc.

● Demonstration of farming/production methods

● Present/organize farmer days, information sessions

● Constant farm visits for impact assessment

● Source inputs from specialists are required

● Provide scientist and technical inputs are required by departmental staff
