Graduate Jobs in South Africa

The South African Institute of Race Relations (IRR) is always looking for high quality interns who want some think-tank experience. Our internship programme is geared to provide a select number of candidates with that experience.

On successfully passing through the application and screening process interns will sign a 3-month to 1-year internship agreement with the IRR setting out their roles and responsibilities.

No two internship agreements are alike as we tend to build the internship around your unique strengths and interests. Typically interns will be required to spend a certain amount of time within the IRR offices in Johannesburg – this is particularly convenient for Wits and University of Johannesburg students as our offices are situated centrally between the two universities.

Requirements

Interns will typically be graduate or undergraduate students attached to South African universities.
Send us your recently published article on any aspect of South African policy and if we like it, and think its reflects liberal and market friendly thinking, we will invite you to an interview.

Responsibilities

Intern tasks can range from assisting our research analysts with compiling reports,
Helping us to run events,
Working on social media and public relations campaigns,
Supporting our sales and marketing teams, and
Assisting with various administrative responsibilities.

How To Apply

Forward articles, and a short letter of interest, to: The Research Director, Lerato Moloi, at [email protected]

Location: Johannesburg

Anybody asking you to pay money to schedule your interview or offer you job may be a scam
