Group Five has been running learnerships since 2006 for both employed and unemployed people. Examples of learnerships during the year include:

Eighteen disabled learners were selected for this programme by Group Five. The learnership covered topics such as information handling,customer service, and communication.

The programme affords learners the opportunity to integrate people with disabilities in the administration function in the workplace. The 12 month programme incorporated six months of classroom training and six months of experiential training.

Generic Management (for employees)

This programme offers learners to develop skills that will enable them to become junior managers. It is aimed at employees who intend to follow a career in management.

  • Building and Civils NQF level 2
  • Generic management NQF level 3
  • Safety NQF level 3
  • Boilermakers NQF level 2
  • Business Administration NQF level 3 (for people with disabilities)
