Group Five Power: Operations and Maintenance Manager – Northern, Eastern and Western Cape

Group Five Power requires 2 Operation and Maintenance Managers for the Wind Turbine Sites in Caledon and Victoria West, the successful candidate would need to manage operation and maintenance programs for the wind turbine generators, sub stations and or solar installations. The successful candidate should be willing to relocate to the Caledon or Victoria West area.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability to

• effectively ensure team and self-management
• ensure effective execution of the operation and maintenance program
• ensure internal and external client relationship management
• ensure effective management of site personnel
• ensure effective site financial control and asset management
• ensure effective site mobilisation
• ensure effective site safety compliance

 

Experience in

• in wind and or solar generation
• in computer networks
• in operation and maintenance of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage networks including generation, sub stations and distribution

 

Knowledge of

• operating regulations for High Voltage systems up to 132V
• of maintaining rotating equipment
• of maintaining electrical equipment
• National Diploma S4 Electrical Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification required
• alternative energy production i.e wind and solar generation
