Groupon South Africa Vacancy: Sales Manager

Our South African office has grown  exponentially since its entry into the market in January 2011 and we are looking for a Top Business Development Manager to join our  high energy and industry leading team! Our Sales Managers are the Captains of their sales teams!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spearhead and manage sales operations in the Western Cape.
Lead a team of talented and driven individuals.
Build partnerships with local merchants in their region.
Build a market by identifying and calling on the best local businesses.
Negotiating unbeatable offers on behalf of Groupon’s subscribers.
Develop  and implement sales strategies.
Effectively communicate sales strategies to the team
Successfully translate strategies into revenue

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

MBA and/or experience from the consulting sector highly desirable.
Experience within the a highly competitive and target-driven environment is highly advantageous.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Possess a track record of closing and delivering complex deals with businesses,  both face to face and phone based.
Diligence and tenacity to deliver on  opportunity, including short lead times and intense sales opportunities.
Good influencing skills and the ability to effectively deal with external customers.
Ability to inspire, train, and develop sales team.
Ability to closely manage a sales team ensuring regional and company targets are met.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
A desire to significantly impact business revenue.
Willingness to travel nationally.
