Salary: R28 000 to R30 000
The purpose of the position is to manage a staff team as well as all the deliverables for the region. This includes servicing our existing 24 ECD Centres in low income areas in Cape Town as well as establishing a further 6 centres during the course of 2019.
Requirements:
Business Management:
- Manage Business Plan for the region
- Develop and Manage the Implementation Plan for the Western Cape Region
Regional staff management:
- Recruit all new staff for the region
- Team meeting report planning / updates / distribution for CT
- Performance management of all regional staff
- Manage annual salary reviews of all regional staff
Financial Management:
- Internal
- Financial Budget
- Give input annual financial budget for the region
- Submit all invoices
- Check monthly management accounts

High level Operations:
- Manage the implementation of the “GROW with Educare Centres” Chain of Events:

Recruitment of New Franchisees:
In conjunction with the Education Implementation Manager in Cape Town:
- Field all initial calls from potential Franchisees (usually existing Principals of Centres)
- Host information days for potential new Franchisees
- Do initial site visit to check viability
- Set up and facilitate recruitment day
- Arrange final site visits before sign up with infrastructure upgrades person for quotes
- Secure deposit payments
- Map out orders for each new Centre
- Work through Disclosure Document with final recruit
- Work through Franchise Agreement with final recruit
- Complete the new Franchisee file
- Oversee upfront inventory check
- Manage the implementation process at new Centres with Regional Education Manager
Ordering:
Oversee Education Mentor (Orders) with regards to the following:
- Centres:
- Annual new Centres orders for set up
- ‘Top up’ orders for existing Centres
- Annual consumable’s orders
- Other supplier orders e.g. Makro
- Tracking
- Marketing material for Centres
- Printing orders
- Stationary orders
Infrastructure Upgrades:
- Source contractor to manage infrastructure upgrade
- Manage the infrastructure upgrade process:
- Sign off on quotes
- Pay invoices
- Do inspection of final work
Existing Franchisees:
- Oversee the planning and execution of the monthly franchisee meetings
- Manage the partnership and compliance of franchisees
Stakeholder Management:
- Create and manage database of Department of Social Development contacts
- Create and manage database of NGO contacts and management of NGO file
- Arranging and overseeing all stakeholder events
Requirements:
- Strong project management skills are essential
- Experience at management level in an NGO in the ECD space
