Sales Manager – Smart Cards: An international leader in the supply of custom-manufactured smart cards, readers, and accessories to clients across the US is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to join their South African team. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated professional eager to make an impact in a fast-paced, innovative industry. This is a remote role, with the ideal candidate being based in the Western Cape.

The Sales Manager will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Criteria

 

  • Post matric accreditation relevant to the role
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager in a similar technical role
  • Proficient in the English language (to read, write and speak with English flawlessly as the first language being essential)
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • CRM experience and sales process management
  • Business development experience
  • Experience in training staff
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

 

Key Performance Areas

 

  • Management of the Sales Team (the role would include overseeing the junior staff as well as making direct sales)
  • Develop and promote new business with the Sales Team
  • Establish, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through both hot and cold sales/calling and oversee the Sales Team in doing the same
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Keep abreast of best practices and trends, product research and training staff
  • Follow-up and managing of the fulfilment process and the production team to ensure that the correct goods are delivered on time to the customer
  • Work directly with the production teams in UK, US and China.
  • Follow up on other leads that are generated through the website or leads

 

General Conditions:

Hours of Work

    • Due to the time zone the estimated normal working hours range between Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00 SA time or 16:00 to midnight, with after-hours work as required
    • Work on SA public holidays, but off duty on standard US public holidays and a number of days over the Festive Season

 

Technical Devices and Internet Connectivity:

  • Own mobile phone and laptop.

Training:

Internal training will be given. As the field of smart cards is vast, an enthusiastic self-starter will be required for this role.

Remuneration
