he Helen Suzman Foundation (HSF) is an independent think tank, which seeks to promote and defend liberal constitutional democracy and the rule of law.

Job Title: Legal Researcher
Job Location: Johannesburg

Responsibilities:

• Policy-oriented research
• Public interest litigation, with implications for constitutional jurisprudence

The Legal Researcher will focus on supporting, advising, and assisting the HSF’s public interest litigation, conducting independent research on legal, policy and other topical issues across various disciplines, as well as working collaboratively within the research unit to advance the research output of the HSF.

Requirements:

• An LLB and/or post-graduate degree in law or a related field
• Minimum of two years’ work experience
• English language and writing skills
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Willingness to travel
