Datacentrix Resourcing specializes in providing technical resourcing solutions across a wide range of technologies and ICT service disciplines. We currently have a vacancy based in Pretoria, client looking for a Helpdesk Administrator – Contract to go perm
Duties and responsibilities
Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
Research questions using available information resources.
Follow standard helpdesk procedures.
Log all helpdesk interactions using Helpdesk Authority.
Administer helpdesk software.
Redirect problems to appropriate resources.
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
Follow up on escalated situations.
Provide email feedback to managers on all escalated and printer problems.
Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
Prepare activity reports of all technicians on outstanding calls daily
Monitor and report on all stock brought in or taken out of the IT department.
Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
Do morning maintenance checks on printers and log accordingly.
Maintain stock and asset list
Skills and knowledge
Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
Related experience and training
Mcse 2003 or higher would be an advantage
3 – 6 Years experience in a Helpdesk environment.
