Vacancy Details

Our client is currently seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in their mining operation situated at Kathu, Northern Cape.

 

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintenance of equipment
• Ensuring vehicles under area responsibility are in good condition
• Inspecting vehicles and analyzing raised faults
• Participation in a standby team for breakdown maintenance
• Maintaining customer relations and good housekeeping
• Equipment inspection and supervision of people, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.

 

Qualifications Required:

• Grade 12
• Certificate in Diesel Mechanic (trade)
• Preference given to NQF4 qualified artisans

 

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Experience with CAT (D10T2) is advantageous
• Minimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experience

 

Specific Requirements:

• Proficiency with Komatsu PC2000, PC5500, WA1200; Caterpillar D10T2/D11T; Liebherr R996B/R9800
