Requirements : Grade 12 certificate, Basic computer literacy with three (3) years’ experience as a Porter or Grade 10 with Between five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience as a Porter. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work shifts and night duty. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act. Hospital setting experience will be an added advantage.
Supervision, allocation of Porters. Regular walkabouts to assess the state of pottering services. Placing orders electronically for new equipment and requesting repairs. Deal with other pottering issues that need attention. Ensure appropriate management of stretchers. Ensure that all employees under supervision comply with HR prescripts i.e. leave management and PMDS. Monitoring of registers and overtime management. Ensure that support services comply with the National Core Standards. The incumbent will work shifts and night duty.
