Job Title: Imports Supervisor – ICT
Location: Midrand
Duties & Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advise and Implement most cost-effective shipping method when Brand request assistance.
Assist where Forwarding and Clearing agents request documentation
Ensure that LOA’s from NRCS are available on NRCS Inspections.
Ensure that the needed documentation is provided to the Clearing Agents when required for a Customs / NRCS etc. stop
Ensuring that we have updated rates from all Forwarding and Clearing Agents every 6 months
Having monthly meetings with the Key Account Managers of our service providers – Forwarding Agents / Clearing Agents / Transport Companies / Security Companies
Advise on change of ETA’s. E / F Terms
Ensure that Import Documentation are correct and that the correct rates and charges were charged under the relevant Incoterm – if not arrange for correction / credit from either clearing Agent or Supplier
Ensure that stock was cleared correct and if not, request a VOC (Voucher of Correction) from the Clearing Agent and manage the process.
Oversee Costing of stock once received at the main warehouse
Report and Investigate all damages and losses to the Brand Manager / Clearing Agents
Lodge claims where necessary for damages and losses
Ensure that all queries are noted and solved on every set of Import Documents
Claims to be followed up regularly
Monthly follow-up of queries with relevant service providers as per Finance reconciliation
Manage Stock to be returned to supplier when requested – export to be handled
Standing in for Receiving Supervisor when he is on leave
Accurate planning of deliveries at Receiving to also benefit the service providers.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Matric with mathematics is essential and a relevant qualification/diploma or degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience within a Forwarder / Clearing and Shipping environment
Full Knowledge of Import and Export Customs Procedures
SARS Customs process understanding.
Complete understanding of latest Incoterms
Previous warehouse experience/knowledge of ICT distribution processes and operations will be advantageous.
Ability to lead a team and mentor employees.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and presentation skills
Service quality orientated
Package & Remuneration:
R25 000 – R35 000 TCTC
