A permanent position exists within the Human Capital Business Partners Department for a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the IDC Head office in Sandton, reporting to the Senior Human Capital Business Partner.
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a comprehensive talent acquisition function and service to the corporation. These involves workforce planning, sourcing of candidates, advertising of vacancies, conducting competency-based interviews and assessments as well as recommend candidates for appointment.
Key Roles & Responsibilities include:
• Manage recruitment channels and liaise with agencies, including career fairs and universities (if & where required)
• Work with line managers in planning and implementing recruitment activities to generate most effective and cost efficient hiring solutions
• Network with external stakeholders with the purpose to build a Talent Pool for the Corporation
• Develop agreed resourcing and recruitment service levels with the business unit
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, minimizing the company’s exposure to adverse outcomes of complaints, litigation, audits and inspections
• Source diverse and qualified candidates through various means including direct sourcing, industry networking, internet, internal recruitment database, employee referrals, as well as appropriate trade and industry organizations.
• Maintain all new job descriptions
• To ensure on-going and effective communication with stakeholders
• Maintain a detailed understanding of “recruitment and talent acquisition best practice” initiatives in HR
• Develop position profile, interview, selection, and matching templates
• Establish recruiting effectiveness and recruiting performance matrics e.g., recruit cycle time, cost etc.
• Conduct assessments as required and provide feedback to line managers through most appropriate mediums
• Conduct the recruitment and appointment process in the most cost effective way
• Participate in HC Business Partnering projects that may be allocated from time to time
• Review and manage effective talent acquisition reporting information for the portfolio allocated
• Guide and support the talent acquisition administrator in the delivery of recruitment outcomes

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Industrial Psychology
Registration as a Psychometrist with HPCSA will be advantageous
• 3 – 5 years Corporate Recruitment Experience in a fast paced environment
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge and implementation of all employment legislation
• Knowledge of resourcing channels
• Knowledge of Applicant Tracking System
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Practical knowledge of the SAP system
• Proven Head Hunting experience
• Knowledge and training in Job evaluation and role profiling
• Trained in Competency-based interview
• Trained in Psychometric assessment administration and provision of feedback
