A large, well-established company has an opportunity at one of their branches.

 

Requirements:

• Working experience as Storeman
• Experience within engineering or mining-industry
• ERP software experience
• Matric Certificate

Responsibilities:

• Maintain control procedures regarding inventory items entering and leaving the store area.
• On-time signing of waybills for goods received.
• Inspection of inventory items to ensure that goods are undamaged and the correct goods
• Assisting in the investigation of discrepancies relating to goods transfers.
• Receiving goods on the ERP system within 24 hours of physical receipt.
• Goods received for credit, to be processed within 24 hours of being received.
• Ensuring that the ERP system is maintained frequently
• Ensuing that inventory items are always handled with due care to avoid possible damages.
• Reporting of stock discrepancies to the branch manager and assisting with the investigation
• Identifying soon to expire inventory items, and the reporting thereof
• Ensuring that stock is dispatched using a “first in first out” basis.
• Maintaining a tracking system of goods situated in the dispatch cage
• Ensure personal protective equipment is worn at all the times and safety equipment is used
