Vacancy Details

A vacancy exists for a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Scrub. We are looking for a Cardiac Scrub RN for a locum to permanent position for as Private Hospital in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu Natal.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scrubbing for Cardiac Cases
• Assist the surgical team to perform surgical procedure on patients successfully
• Ensure accurate charging by managing clocking time
• Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors
• Provide safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors
• To take responsibility of Theatre and cases on a daily basis where you are allocated
• Effective Risk prevention and management
• Attends handover of report at shift commencement
• Effective communication with patients regarding their care
• Refer all complaints from patients and doctors to sister-in-charge of the unit/ CNS
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining competence in theatre processes

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Nurse, registered with SANC
• Have at least 2 years of Theatre scrubbing for Cardiac and General Cases
• The ability to work under pressure
• Must be able to do calls
