Imperial South Africa: Senior Business Analyst / Technology Advisory

Position Overview R290 000 – R400 000 per annum Cost to Company – Samrand based

A self-motivated, self-activated person who is passionate about and have an affinity towards enabling technology solutions. The focus would be on business solution analysis and the resultant IT advisory functions. An ideal candidate would have between 4-6 years of working experience with 2+ years as ERP implementation consultant or 2+ years in supply chain technology implementation role.

 

Specific Role Responsibilities We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Technology Advisory who will have included in his/her responsibilities the following:

1. Senior Business Analyst (60%)
a. Contribution as a senior business analyst, understanding overall organisational objectives and structures, and contributing towards an experienced solution offering encompassing both technology and business process understanding;
b. Technology advisory services including IT audits, IT Risk management, technology selection and IT Strategy
2. Manage technology enabled transformation (40%)
a. Define and manage activity, against a plan;
b. Manage relationships with various levels of management and operational resources at the client;
c. Manage developers and business analysts with teams of 1 to 5 resources;
d. Ability to delve into detail and steer solutions for clients, while maintaining an overview of the holistic objectives;
e. Ability and experience to make decisions and steer technology selection or direction within projects, utilising current standards and guidance from other senior advisors.

 

Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
1. Client-facing consulting / technology implementation
2. Business Analysis (2+ years)
3. ERP implementation or SC technology implementation consultant (2+ years)
4. Some project management experience (teams of 2-10+);
5. General ERP understanding and experience (MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

 

One of the following qualifications are required (in order of preference):
1. BEng (Industrial);
OR
2. BComm (relevant);
The following additional certifications would be an advantage:
– Certified Business Analysis Professional or equivalent
– Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or similar);
– Supply Chain Certification (APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional or similar);

– Advanced Microsoft Office skill (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
– Working exposure to project/delivery management approaches (Waterfall, Agile, SDLC);
– Facilitation of JAD sessions.
