A leading engineering and manufacturing company in South Africa/Africa dealing with infrastructural products and belonging to a reputable market leader requires an Industrial Engineer who has practical experience in the Industrial Engineering field in a production environment and has good administrative skills and very good communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate must have:

• Matric Qualification.
• An Industrial Engineering qualification
• 4 Years relevant experience in a Production environment essential
• Practical experience in Industrial Engineering field in a production environment
• Computer Literate (Databases and Microsoft Suite)
• Financial Management
• Production Management
• Maintenance Management
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:

• Managing and controlling the medium tern capacity plan for the company
• Managing and controlling manufacturing standards
• Monitoring key parameters for the business on a continuous basis
• Effective management of the Business Systems supporting the business units
• Managing and supporting JDE, the Capacity Planning system, On-Key and Clockworks to support the business units in the execution of the business plan
• Optimisation of business processes
• Management and implementation of improvement projects
• Effective management of the Industrial Engineering functions within the business to improve operational excellence – productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Responsible for supply chain optimization to enhance business value
• Implementation of Lean Principles into the business
• Proactively implementing effective business, team and individual performance management across the department
• Effectively implement a “Zero Harm” safety strategy across the department
• Ensuring full compliance to all safety legislations, policies and guidelines
