1. Intel Vacancies: Corporate Affairs Internship Careers

Intel SA is offering a 12-month Internship programme in to students currently working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a related field or department.

The intern will be working within the team and will support the team with Corporate Affairs programs and projects, including doing background research and data gathering, planning programs launch, as well as capturing and sharing success stories. She/he provide technical support and report to the Corporate Affairs Manager for the South and Sub-Sahara Africa.

Additionally:

  • – Desktop research on emerging and prevailing ICT in education trends (national, Regional and global)
  • – ICT sector data analysis and interpretation for planning and strategic input
  • – Education sector stakeholder and key initiatives mapping
  • – Internal stakeholder mapping and project alignment
  • – Entrepreneurship programs and trends analysis (both data and programs)
  • – Identify impact measurement criteria for Corporate Affairs programs
  • – Track and report on CAG initiatives
  • – Support CAG team in launching new programs and research

Qualifications

  • – A current university student with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask. Being enrolled in the ICT, business administration, or development studies fields is preferred but not required.
  • – The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, energetic and trustworthy individual. She/he must be a team player, have tolerance for ambiguity and have strong written and oral communication skills. She/he must be organized, able to analyze complex information, and identify critical stakeholders and possible solutions to implement the company and community’s priorities.

 

2. Intel Vacancies: Consumer Development Intern – 702145

Description

The role will include:

  • Supporting and creating consumer sales and marketing programs for / with Technology Retailers / Telco and PC manufacturers.
  • Supporting the team in the coordination and management of consumer sales and marketing events.
  • Periodical adaptation of global assets, tools and activities to local market.
  • Managing distribution, maintenance of retail assets, POPs, tools to Retail / Telco purchase points and reporting.
Qualifications
  • You must be a student currently pursuing a university degree in your final year in Business Administration, and/or Computer Science and/or Engineering (Electrical or Industrial) or other, with a focus on Consumer or marketing.
  • Pursuing Masters in Marketing or pursuing MBA is a Plus.

Additional qualifications should include:

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, consumer, retail and ability to work and collaborate with global/local partnerships to building integrated sales and marketing campaigns.

Description

 The role will include:

  • Researching trends/performing analysis/gathering market data on the Telco industry in South Africa.

4. Intel Careers: Telco Business Development Manager – 704093

Job Description:
This is a commissioned sales position. Responsible to win the enterprise and architecture decision by offering unified, cohesive solutions based on Intel and its fellow traveler’s products and services.
  • Build a Mobile Device business plan for the country
  • Develop and communicate market analyses on Mobile Devices
  • Generate demand for Intel based Mobile Devices
  • Sell Intel based Mobile Devices to/through local customer/partners (Operator, Distributors, Large retailers, Local OEM’s)
  • Own, manage and develop key customer relationships (Operator, Distributors, Large retailers, Local OEM’s)
  • Cooperate and support OEM partners
  • Collaborate with local ISV community in developing localized and differentiated experiences on Mobile Devices

Qualifications 

Required experience:

  • 10+ years experience or equivalent in Telecom Operator or Smartphone OEM
  • 5+ years working experience or equivalent on Mobile phones / Smartphones in Business Development or Sales
  • Account Management, including involvement with C level executives
  • Contract Negotiations
  • Solution selling
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a matrixed organisation
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to plan and work tactically
  • Business planning and analysis
  • Business or Enginerring degree – MBA preferred

5. Intel Vacancies – DBM – Distribution Business Manager – 706544

Description

This is a commissioned sales position. The Distribution Business Manager (DBM) is responsible for coverage and business development with the local sales offices of Intel’s authorized distributors in the Sub Sahara South Africa region (SSSA). Product portfolio covers the full breadth of the Retail Channel product range, with focus on CPUs, Servers and SSDs. The DBM will also drive the branded systems business with distributors in the branded distribution program and the engagement with ODMs (Original Design Manufacturer). The DBM works closely with the Distributor Sales Manager and with the Reseller Channel Manager in order to ensure alignment of EMEA distribution strategies and programs with local requirements. He/She will also closely liaise with the Customer Operations team in UK for sales of the Retail Channel products and will closely interact with Intel’s local RCO (Retail Channel Organisation) sales team.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Responsible for managing the relationship between Intel and distributors by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at accounts.
  • Responsibility for the sales plan for Intel’s RCO product portfolio.
  • Ownership of all sales and marketing plans and activities with covered distributors
  • Distributor goal setting and performance management.
  • Implementation and execution of the distribution programs and initiatives.
  • Development of strategies and tactics to maximize distributor sales
  • Ownership of distributor account plans
  • Development and implementation of marketing activities synchronized with retail, MNC and SFR teams
  • Communication of Intel’s strategies and roadmaps
  • Training of distributor’s product managers and sales people
  • Develop a clear understanding of Intel’s business practices including pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, distribution and code of ethics.
Qualifications 
  • Electronics, Computer Science or Business degree with a keen interest in field sales.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the information technology industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer facing position with strong background in IA product portfolio and computer technology
  • Fundamental market knowledge and channel programs experience.
  • Good understanding of distribution and distributor business model.
  • Strong team player skills and high degree of flexibility
  • Self-motivated individual with high work ethics.
  • Strong sales skill and customer orientation.
  • Financial and business acumen.
  • Fluent command of English language.
